At Bury People First we feel it is very important that people with learning disabilities understand Hate and Mate crime and report it.
We are very passionate that people understand learning disabilities and how Hate and Mate crime affects people.
We go to high schools in Bury and talk about Hate and Mate crime to Year 7 and Year 8 pupils.
We also delivery Hate and Mate crime workshops to people with learning disabilities as well as training the Police on how best to support and communicate with someone with a learning disability.
